Lost and Found Policy for Ô Fleur de Sel Guesthouse
At Ô Fleur de Sel Guesthouse, we understand that sometimes belongings may be misplaced or forgotten during your stay. To ensure a smooth process for handling lost and found items, we have established the following policy:
- Reporting Lost Items:
- Guests who believe they have lost an item during their stay at Ô Fleur de Sel Guesthouse are encouraged to report it to the front desk within 3 hours from check-out.
- The guest must provide detailed information regarding the lost item, including a description and the approximate time and location where it was last seen.
- Handling of Found Items:
- Our staff will make every effort to locate and secure any lost items found on the premises before new guests check in.
- Upon discovery, found items will be logged and stored in a designated Lost and Found area for further processing.
- Disposition of Items:
- Consumable Items: Any consumable items (e.g., food, beverages, toiletries) found will be discarded immediately for health and safety reasons.
- Clothing Items: Found clothing items will be kept in our Lost and Found for a period of up to three months from the date of discovery.
- Valuable Items: Valuable items (e.g., electronics, jewelry) will also be held in our Lost and Found for a maximum period of three months.
- After the three-month period has elapsed, uncollected clothing and valuable items will be disposed of without further notice or liability to the guest.
- Claiming Lost Items:
- Guests who believe their lost items may have been found should contact the Guesthouse to inquire about retrieval.
- Proper identification or proof of ownership may be required to claim lost items.
- Guests must collect their items within the designated three-month period. Items not collected within this timeframe will be disposed of as outlined in section 3.
- Disclaimer:
- Ô Fleur de Sel Guesthouse assumes no responsibility for lost or damaged items. Guests are encouraged to take proper precautions to secure their belongings during their stay.
- The guesthouse shall not be held liable for any items that are lost, damaged, or stolen during the guest’s stay or during the handling process.
- Policy Review:
- This Lost and Found Policy will be periodically reviewed and updated as necessary to ensure effectiveness and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
